Assistant Teacher

Angel Care Preschool and Child Care is accepting applications for assistant teachers.

Ability to interact with children in a respectful, caring way.
Ability to observe children and be proactive in conflict management.
Ability to communicate and participate as a team player with all coworkers both in and out of the classroom.
Ability to remain flexible in a challenging, fast paced environment.
Desire to earn a certification and/or degree in early childhood education and/or child development.

An Assistant Teacher’s responsibilities include:

Team engagement in the planning and implementation of all activities, both indoors and outdoors, for children in the classroom.
Ask questions to promote continued understanding and education in the training process.
Supervision of children for all activities: indoor, outdoor, meals, toileting, etc.
Maintaining a safe environment both indoors and outdoors.
Address concerns of child/parent/coworker in a timely, effective manner.
Interact with child/parent/coworker in a caring, respectful manner.
Problem-solve with team/child/parent concerns.

An Assistant Teacher must meet the following requirements:

High School Diploma or GED
Certification and/or early childhood education or child development coursework preferred
Must be eighteen years old
Child care experience (minimum of one year, preferred)
